Dear all,
This will be our first Christmas serving the United Benefice at the end of a busy and exciting year. It has been great, beginning to get to know the nature and style of each of the congregations. Kristina and I have been very touched by the warmth of the welcome we have received. 2012 will bring many new challenges. Your prayerful and active support will be central to the various initiatives now in place.
The Hawton congregation is planning to install a lavatory and serving area, but before these become a reality a new Treasurer will need to be found. The congregation at Cotham is very small and needs our support as it journeys into 2012. The church family at Thorpe is likely to have an enhanced service pattern in 2012. The Farndon congregation is going to hold a monthly service “Worship for All” which, at its heart, will have a ministry to the young and young at heart. This adventure will begin on 8th January at 11.am at St. Peters Farndon
Kristina and I hope to hold a summer event at the Rectory when the four church communities can meet together.
During this month there will be a good deal to do. Our wardens and church leaders need your support at this busy and sometimes stressful season.
Kristina and I would like to wish you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas
